From what I understand, the cost spent to attend a destination wedding is considered a gift in itself. You might do a small gift for the shower. If you have photographs of the couple, put togethr a small photo album with copies of those photographs. It is touching and sentimental and something that is always appreciated. Or a restaurant gift certificate for $25 would also be nice. Do not go overboard. At the destination wedding, if you take photographs, you could put together a slide show on a DVD ( all easily done on a computer) or a small photo album of those photographs and give at the reception once home. Those thoughtful considerations are always appreciated!
There are many problems with destiantion prom dress, and your question reflects just one of them. Thos who choose this kind of wedding should understand, and should say to the people flying to the destination and are part of the wededing party that their presence IS their present. You are not obligated to buy them a gift. You can buy a small souvenir for them from the place where the destination wedding is being held.short prom dresses
